Status pages

A status page is a public web page at culipulse.dev/s/your-name. Your users can open it when something seems broken and see, at a glance, whether it’s down and for how long.

Every plan includes one status page.

What visitors see

• A banner with the overall state: All systems operational, Degraded performance, Partial outage, Major outage, or Status unavailable when none of the services on the page has a recent reading.
• Happening now: each service that is down or slower than usual right now, and since when.
• One row per service you chose, with the name you gave it and its current state: Operational, Slower than usual, Outage, Monitoring paused or No data.
• A bar for each of the last 90 days. Hover a day on a computer to see what happened that day.
• Uptime over the last 90 days. Only outages count against it; “slower than usual” does not. A service that hasn’t been checked yet shows No data yet here instead of a percentage.

What visitors never see

Your monitors’ URLs or server addresses, check settings, headers, error messages, or which checkpoints run them.

Each service starts out with your monitor’s name. Visitors see this name, so rename it to something your users recognise before you publish the page.

Create your page

1. In the console, open Status page and select Create status page.
2. Enter a title, an optional short description, and the page address (3–40 lowercase letters, numbers or dashes). A few short addresses, like status or admin, are reserved and can’t be used.
3. Select Add monitors and pick the services to show (up to 50). Give each one a name your users will recognise, and use the arrows to set the order.
4. Select Save changes. Your page is live straight away; use Copy to share the link.

If you change the address later, the old link stops working. If you later delete a monitor from your account, it’s automatically removed from your status page.

How fresh is it?

The page is refreshed at most once a minute, so a change in status, or an edit you save, can take up to about a minute to appear. The page doesn’t refresh itself: visitors reload it to see the latest state. The time at the top shows when that copy of the page was made.

Turn your page off

Switch off Page is public. Visitors then see a “This status page isn’t available” page. Switch it back on at any time; your settings are kept.

Reporting abuse

Every status page links to a way to report abuse to CuliPulse, and says that the page is run by its owner, not by CuliPulse.
