Reports
A report summarizes uptime for a set of your monitors over a period, and can be shared with a public link — handy for showing a customer or your team how a service performed.
Build a report
Section titled “Build a report”- Give the report a name.
- Choose the monitors to include (your own).
- Choose the period — this month, last month, the last 30 days, the last 90 days, or a custom range.
The report shows, per monitor, its uptime for the period and whether it met its uptime goal.
How uptime is calculated
Section titled “How uptime is calculated”Uptime is based on down time only — the seconds a monitor spent down during the period, taken from its incidents. Time spent degraded is reported separately and is not subtracted from uptime.
If a monitor was created partway through the period, it’s only measured from when it was created (shown as a “since” note), so a new monitor isn’t penalized for time before it existed.
Against each monitor’s uptime goal, a report marks it met, breached, or insufficient data — and the report overall reflects the mix. A monitor with no goal set simply shows no verdict.
Share it
Section titled “Share it”A report can be published at a public link (/r/…) that needs no login — anyone with the
link can view it. The public page is cached briefly, and is marked so search engines don’t
index it. To stop sharing, delete the report: the link stops working within a minute. A
report link can’t be changed — to get a new link, delete the
report and create a new one.
